My Last Semester

So I don’t have any pictures to post right now, because since my last post I’ve only completed like¬†4 things. All pretty interesting things (scarf, better chap stick holders, log cabin washcloth which started my log cabin addiction, and a log cabin scarf), but I haven’t had time to take pictures of them yet. Why? Because I’ve been busy. With school. It’s my last semester. Graduation is approaching. Very exciting but also kinda nervous inducing at the same time, ya know? Although I haven’t decided if I want to walk across the stage or not. On the one hand, I spent 4 years studying my butt off for this diploma, I want to wear the clothes walk to pomp and circumstance and get the fancy diploma cover and throw my cap in the air. On the other hand, I know of less than 10 people who are graduating this semester, and some of those aren’t even walking, so do I really want to spend 2-2.5 hours of my life in a probably hot gymnasium watching close to 700 people that I don’t know get there names called and shake people’s hands and bla bla bla. And we’ll have to walk down that tiny staircase, who knows how long I’ll have to stand in that claustrophobic inducing atmosphere? And there will be so many people crowding around each other, yelling, parking will be a nightmare (oh wait, isn’t it always?). I wish that they had the graduations split up by college. Because then you could go to your friends’ graduations if you wanted to, but your family (and you)¬†doesn’t have to endure such a hassle some ordeal.

But anyway. That’s not for a while yet. And I don’t have to know whether I’m walking for a few weeks, so I’ve got time. Time to do homework, write crazy long papers, learn CPR, act in scenes from plays, and listen to boring lectures. And time also for the important stuff in life, like reading my Bible, spending time with friends and family, and knitting. Right now I’m working on a log cabin blanket (I told you I was addicted) and some baby booties, because everyone is having kids right now. And since everyone was getting married this year, everyone will probably be having kids a few years from now too. I’m not sure if we’re fixing to have another baby boom, or if this is just what happens as you get older.

This weekend, I’m going to a fiber festival, so maybe if I get off my lazy butt and finish my homework, I’ll be able to make a post about it. And also maybe I’ll be able to make a post about the aforementioned stuff that I’ve finished. But I might not be able to make regular posts, because I have a job interview tomorrow. So I may be fixing to get even busier. So, If you’ve been checking back periodically for the past 2 months looking for a post and ending up disappointed, sorry. Although I doubt that anyone’s been doing that.
